About the job

The Station Technician position is under the direction of the Senior Technician Supervisor within the Engineering Department and he/she is purposely responsible for the monitoring, operation and maintenance of all Communication Systems on the Island.

Requirements

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

●  Must be 18 yrs and above

●  Achieved Form 6 or higher Level of Education with good pass in Maths and Science

●  Residents from the Island of Nukufetau and prepared to work on Nukufetau Island

●  Good Written and Oral communication skills (Tuvaluan and English)

●  Willing to cooperate with other Workmates

●  Strong Motivation and performance driven

●  High Level ability to work unsupervised


DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

●  Previous knowledge with relevant experience is an essential

●  Quick learner of new Technologies and strong problem solving

●  Work with limited supervision and take responsibility

●  High level in using computers and Mobile phones with software application skills

●  Sound time management skills

●  Willingness to learn and to be trained in related field works
